I make this yummy treat whenever I'm asked to bring something to a get together. It combines the best sweets, chocolate and peanut butter!! Also, it's easy and delicious.
Difficulty: Easy Instructions
Things You'll Need:
- Large Pot
- Stove
- Large Spoon
- Ingredients
Mix: 1 cup sugar and 1 cup light corn syrup in a large pan at medium heat over the stove. Stir constantly. Once boiling take off heat.
Add: 1 cup peanut butter and mix well.
Add: Rice Krispie treats. The recipe calls for 6 cups, but I tend to "eye ball" it. I like mine really gooey, so I usually go for a bit less than 6 cups. It depends on how gooey or dry you like them.
Spread evenly into a pan. The size pan you use can depend on how thick you want them. I usually use a 9 x 12 pan. Set aside.
In another small pan mix 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 tbsp. of crisco. Heat over stove, stiring constantly until melted.
Pour over the rice krispies and spread evenly.
Cool in fridge until the chocolate is hardened.
Cut into pieces and enjoy!!!
